Men’s Motorcycle Textile Jacket
One of the things that every motorcycle rider learns as they ride is to adapt to the various weather conditions. This also is true for the riding gear that you will be purchasing and wearing. Depending on the season will determine the types of garments you will use to ride. If you are in the winter and have extreme or cold temperatures then you will go for the leather products to keep you warm.
Spring and summer offer the warmer weather so the clothing needs to be lighter and breathable so you do not get too hot as you are riding or sitting at a traffic light waiting for it to turn. This is the time you will hear the term “textile” jacket and this means you have a lighter jacket made of lighter cloth and mesh material and not leather. Men’s textile jackets for the most part are waterproof and have zip out liners. They also have a mesh lining. You still have places where you will put your safety plates, for example, in the elbow and mid-back areas for protection. There is usually a larger selection of colors and reflective material on the jacket so other drivers on the road will see you, particularly at night. There are some textile jackets that have foam padding for comfort and some have zip out lining and zip out insulated lining depending on your selection. The changing of your outer garments for riding is similar to changing your wardrobe for the seasons. We all do it and we all try to make ourselves as comfortable and as protected as we possibly can without skimping on safety.
Selecting a textile jacket is good for the spring and summer seasons and offers you the chance to lighten up on your colors. You will notice the colors will be lighter and brighter, for example a yellow and black mixture or red and black. Do not think that you can only use this style coat in spring and summer because they do offer extra lining and padding so this coat could be used year round. It comes down to a personal choice leather or textile jacket and colors and why not one of each.
