Like J R says, nothing but a sealed container will work. The constant temperature and humidity changes in a garage will be hard on long term stored leathers.

I know this isn’t an answer, but why would you want to keep them in the garage? Do you get changed there before you go out on your bike? Do you keep any other clothes there? If your Missus doesn’t want them in the wardrobe with her clothes put them in a wooden chest with your boots gloves and helmet.Come on, get some sense, they cost a lot of money, look after them, keep them in the house.

Buy an old locker and just hang them up on a coat hanger.I store my vest & jackets like this with the boots sitting on the bottom. If you keep the maintenance up to leather it will stand up to weather a lot better.

I keep mine hanging in the living room by the front door. I am a woodworker and made myself a four peg hat and coat tree. I hang my vest on one peg, my chaps on another and my jacket goes over both. The humidity is constant and they aren’t just hanging there and never being used. I keep my boots in my office and my helmets are in there too. ( on top of a roll top desk)

Clean them 1st., proprietory leather food from your favourite bike shop, honest, hang on coat hangers no folds if possible, 2 hangers so the air circulates around the leathers. Once the ”cream” has soaked in you can either re-do them or spray with WD 40, yup tha’s right. I have done this with mine, same leathers for the last 40 years… and apart from a bit tight where you aren’t supposed to grow, still as good as the day I bought them. Don’t forget a bit of vasoline on the zips. Wurks 4 Moi!
