Im looking into getting my first bike. A 2011 "Forty Eigh"t Harley Davidson. Its $10,600 sticker and I wanted to know how the sales market is for them? Can I negotiate to 9k? 8500? I was just wondering if I walk in balls to the wall and say ill pay 8500K and ill sign the papers now is it possible? Any info will help. Please dont talk about used bikes or anything. I just wanted some input on how to go about it.
They won’t negotiate.
Their attitude is "We don’t sell you a bike, you BUY our bikes at our price. If you don’t like the price, the don’t buy it".
The price will be the same at all HD dealers.
I am looking for a cheap harley davidson chopper that is still in good shape or new. I was wondering if there was a website i could go to to buy one. Best description= best answer. Thanks.
Harley choppers rarely cheap. Chinese clones/replicas cheap but poor rep. how much do you want to spend?
I have seen a lot of Harley Davidson’s on the road over the years. We went through Sturgis last year just before the bike rally. Almost all the riders were old people and most of them looked ragged and unwashed. Most of them resemble the homeless.
This is because 75% are just as you described. Just like the guy posting above me.
What were the highest and lowest sales in Harley Davidson’s stock history?
Yes, yes, I have a homework assignment. I’m not so much asking for the answer, but does anyone know WHERE I can find this information? I’ve Googled this for over an hour. Thanks so much, guys.
Below is is the best chart that I could find for the HOG. I have no idea when they were first publicly listed. You can also try the historical data link for this company. Good luck.

I’m currently 16 and i want to get a motorcycle instead of a first car. My dad’s a rider so i know quite alot already. He also want to get a me a Harley Davidson instead of getting me a car because of the gas prices going up so much. Plus I’d rather get one myself. So i just want to know what age I have to be and what the requirements are.
Local Harley dealer is also MSF qualified, has about 6 -10 classes a year. Parents signature and of age, $$$ is all that’s required. Class sign up acts as permit here, the class will cover the rules of road, do the state required written test as well as observed road test. Completion certificate in hand, stop at DMV and get your license.
I am making a quilt with a Harley Davidson theme and am trying to find HD logo fabric for the back.
Thank for the answers. I’ve tried eBay with no luck so far, and I try my hardest not to give Walmart a dime.
try looking on Ebay there are tons of fabric there for great prices
i want to do a track day on the SV650 but i need a set of leathers but im very skinny and tall at the same time can anyone tell me some info on where to look
Very hard to answer.
Best advice is to try different suits on and see whats best.
for track days and the odd race what is the requirments for leathers and boots. i have a 2 piece AGV sport zip together leather suit,is this ok to use. any other tips you can give me.
2 piece zip together is OK for some track days, but most are requesting 1 piece these days.
As for racing, ACU / Auto66 & Clubman titles are ALL 1 piece only.
For track days you will be better off asking the company running them as they all tend do differ slightly. Most of the rules on kit comes from the track owners rather then the company, but they will still be able to tell you.
All your kitt ( just like the bike ) will go through a few tests before you are allowed out on the track, again, this info can be found from the companys running the track days , or the ACU website.
Good luck, dont crash, there’s no insurance on the track !
I bought an old leather motorcycle jacket, from the 80′s, from one of my friends. He claimed that the jacket was upwards of $500. The jacket is about 30 years old and in good condition. I looked it up, and the jackets are no longer produced, I think it may be designer. What I’m wondering is if the jacket would have become more valuable over time.
The designer is Rex Marsee, I’m not quite sure if its a Designer brand, though.
Definitely. Leather jackets are already really expensive, and if it’s vintage and a designer piece it would be even more expensive.
