Does anyone make a Harley Davidson blackberry skin?

Posted by admin On December - 27 - 2009

I’m looking for that rubber skin to cover a blackberry. I know there are lots of colored ones, but does anyone make one that can be customized or have Harley Davidson theme on it? If anyone knows, they would be a lifesaver. Thank you.

How fast do motorcycles usually go in a motorcycle race?

Posted by admin On December - 27 - 2009

How fast (in mph) do motorcycles usually go in a motorcycle race? I was at a racetrack watching the other day and was just curious. I’m not asking for the fastest someone’s ever gone, but just the average speed in an average race. Thanks.

It depends on the track…. At most Moto GP races riders are hitting around the 200mph area on the straight. Average speed is much less than that because of some of the tighter corners. Over on the Isle of Mann the average speed for the lap is getting close to 130mph with top speeds of 200mph again.

Where can I buy a Ford Harley Davidson hat online?

Posted by admin On December - 25 - 2009

I’m looking for a Harley Davidson F150 hat and don’t want to go through Ebay. Been searching high and low online; Harley stores don’t carry them and Ford no longer sells them through their main site. Any suggestions?
Yes, Ford used to make them, but has stopped. Thanks for the links–not quite what I’m looking for, trying to find a F150 Harley hat like the ones on EBay. I appreciate the help, though!

I am completing a thesis for my Masters program & I need to reach out to the Harley Davidson community to find out "What is the Harley Davidson organization doing to deliver value?
I love the varying ends of the spectrum that I am getting. Keep the answers coming and feel free to answer multiple times. I would also like to hear from the ladies in the HD owner’s life.

I am not a Harley owner, and have enjoyed 43 years of motorcycling without ever owning one. However, I have ridden plenty of them, enough to know that I don’t want or need one, especially at their price. A few of my rides on Harleys have been miserably uncomfortable, and I have yet to try one that did not drag hard parts at moderate, everyday cornering speeds. I have owned motorcycles that were bigger pieces of crap, but their price tags registered in the hundreds, not tens of thousands of dollars.

The Harley-Davidson does not deliver value, but it does a great job at creating the illusion of value, and there are plenty of suckers to lap it up. God love ‘em, though. If they all wanted the bikes I like to ride, it would only drive up demand.

Will buying a motorcycle be cheaper at the end of the year?

Posted by admin On December - 22 - 2009

I am planning on buying a motorcycle soon. A Kawasaki Ninja 250R as it’s my first bike. Will they be cheaper when January starts, like an end of the year or new year sale?

yea… i think it will be cheaper if you find the right bargain… people are strapped for chas this time of year as its christmas and all and alot of people tend to get rid of there things for fast cash no matter what they are.. i could be a ps3 game there trying to sell or even a car!

Some items are cowhide and others are buffalo. I’ve bought chaps for myself and my husband, as well as jackets for myself, my bro-in-law and a friend. Also have a couple of other friends who shop here and we are all very pleased with the merchandise. They have a great return policy and are customer oriented. I got a call from them when there was trouble with the shipping on an item and they gave me a refund for the shipping even though I did get the order (about 5 days late). They also gave me free shipping on my next two orders.

Oh yea, their prices are really good. Better than any I’ve seen anywhere else.

Looking to buy a motorcycle jacket for a reasonable price. Not looking for a sports jacket and would prefer synthetic fibres as opposed to leathers. All I ask is for something waterproof and padded. Anyone out there have relative experiences? What are the best and worst in this market? Much appreciated!

If you are in the UK
AT the Moment GEORGE WHITE , INFINITY AND J & S clothing outlets are ALL offering WINTER kit at really good prices
from Between £120-£150 You can get Textile Jacket Trousers Gloves and boots ; Infact the whole Kaboodle.
they are all good quality and all are waterproof and warm
SO
the whole lot is going to keep you warm snug and stylish throughout the next year..
Frank Thomas jackets work out at about £60.00 -£90 at the moment from all three listed outlets

Phoenix, Arizona here. I know in California, we can do it. I go out there on my bike for tracks days all the time and just on vacation. And when I’m out there, I love it! Don’t have to wait in traffic, can always be first at the intersection and so on. However, here in Phoenix… it is so hot during the summer (talking 115 for two straight months) that especially on freeways, I think its stupid that we can’t go between cars. Ones that are especially parked due to insane traffic.

Do you think it MAY become legal anytime soon? Or do you think it’s ok for us riders to do so? Weird on how I can ride 200 miles west and have it be perfectly legal but can’t do it here.

Thanks
Reason I ask in this category is because I saw a Police Officer split lanes on his bike the other day in stuck traffic when I was in my car and I knew I would have got a ticket for that. But possibly it will become legal nationwide anytime soon? That would be so cool

I don’t have a problem with RESPONSIBLE riders doing it.

However, theres some smart @ss punks around here that show off……And damn near cause accidents by doing it.

So it’s these smart @ssess that cause that law to stand in my opinion.

I have a computer repair business in New York City and I am looking for a motorcycle that I will use to go to appointments, and transport computers. I already have a special case that mounts to any standard rear luggage rack, but I need a motorcycle! I am looking for a motorcycle that says "professional/utilitarian/fun"

It should be a relatively reliable bike–also nothing too sporty, nothing too much like a cruiser. Any ideas?

well I woudl suggest a good duel sport. These bikes are designed to carry luggage. They .are still light and capable in rain and snow. I listed a link below to a V Storm which I checked out not too long ago for cross country type riding. A lot of torque for stop and start traffic riding. space to attach water prrof saddle bags and a rear luggage and still have a passenger.

How do you get a motorcycle license as a first license?

Posted by admin On December - 9 - 2009

I’m asking for information on what steps are needed to get the permit then the transition to the motorcycle license. I am 18 and I have no drivers license, but I just want to get a motorcycle license.
I also forgot to add that I’m in NYS and please guys let me know like the transition as said earlier from first permit to license. Will a Driver License really be needed before getting a motorcycle? Will I have to get a junior license before hand?

It depends entirely on which state you live in.
Some states require a license to which you add an endorsement – others do not.
Some states require a training course, others do not.
Different states have different rules for their permits. Some are good for a year, mine was 30 days.

Even within a state, the rules can get a little funky.
Here, you can get a permit and then a license. No course required.
To take the Beginner’s Riding Course at DMV, you must have a valid driver’s license.
